Developing multifaceted dancers with edge and versatility
Connectivity and interactivity with a breadth of disciplines and cultures—with a focus on Southeast Asia is the hallmark of the NAFA School of Dance’s approach.
This style, seen across all of our performances, from Crossings, The Third Space, Dancers @ Work to even our industry projects, is cultivated by our unique intercultural environment, where students are mentored by an international faculty of respected artists. Lessons are influenced by both Asian and Western perspectives, and students are given the opportunity for overseas immersions, exchange study trips and various festivals, to build a global perspective.
The curriculum is primarily based on practice and application, and highlights include industry-based learning in partnership with major local dance companies and leading independent artists. Besides an opportunity for networking, you will also attend frequent masterclasses, workshops and talks from artists across the world.
This holistic approach ensures that upon graduation, you will be able to fluently reference the contemporary, classical and traditional styles in the performance and creation of dance.
